Teatro do Mar has the mission to host artistic residencies in the areas of theatre, dance, performance, circus and street arts, with the mission of supporting and boosting contemporary national artistic creation, dedicated to the public space. This Program aims to contribute to the development and affirmation of emerging artistic projects, in their logistical, technical and financial training, production support and promotion.

Encouraging, challenging, supporting and promoting are principles of a reception program that aims to create dynamics, sharing and close contact between the community and selected artists, also exploring new concepts of interaction and audience development.

For the selection and programming of Artistic Residencies, the following are valued: artistic innovation, history, relationship with public space and street arts, and adaptability to existing conditions.
