Sustainability in artistic creation in public space is the central theme of this workshop, part of the Outdoor Arts Portugal capacity-building programme. Designed for cultural sector professionals, the training offers an in-depth reflection on how to align artistic mobility with sustainable practices, fostering a more environmentally responsible impact.
Participants will explore strategies to reduce the carbon footprint associated with touring, establish local partnerships and collaboration networks, and adopt more sustainable materials and production methods. The workshop will also cover tools for assessing and mitigating environmental impact, alongside an analysis of policies and funding opportunities available to support the transition to more conscious artistic practices.
Focusing on the sharing of experiences and the development of practical solutions, this training promotes an integrated approach to tackling challenges and seizing opportunities to embed sustainability in artistic creation in public space and the mobility of the cultural sector.
