Margarida Montenÿ works in circus and the performing arts.Seeking a transdisciplinary approach in her research and choreographic practice, her creations are characterized by mechanisms and devices that question space and the passive interaction of the audience with performances, working around states of intimacy, strength and vulnerability.From her creations she highlights "BLUE", a co-production Mostra Estufa - Teatro Municipal do Porto and Companhia Erva Daninha, premiered in 2023 and "Simulacro" created in partnership with Carminda Soares, a co-production Instável - Centro Coreográfico / Teatro Municipal do Porto and Teatro das Figuras premiered in 2022.Other projects include "Ordesa", a collection of duets between improvisation and composition in real time with Pedro Branco, and Daniel Seabra's "Por um Fio" for Companhia Erva Daninha.Has also collaborated as a performer for Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte/ Orquestra Filarmónica Portuguesa in "Alba", Miguel Pereira in "The Big Show SEF", Companhia Erva Daninha in "Recantos", Circo Caótico in "(Com)Sequência", Teatro Musgo in "Breu", Vanda R Rodrigues/Antípoda in "Paisagens Inúteis", Grandpa's Lab, and Liliana Garcia in "Moura", among others.
