Dança
Carminda Soares is an emerging creator, dancer, performer and teacher. From her background, she highlights the contemporary dance programme Art Factory International –Dance Start Up VIII, Bologna (Italy) directed by Brigel Gjoka; and in 2016, the Advanced Training in Interpretation and Choreographic Creation at Companhia Instável, Porto (Portugal), which she attended on a scholarship. She worked professionally with Nuno Preto at Teatro Oficina; Victor Hugo Pontes in “Vice-versa” and “Uníssono – composição para cinco bailarinos”; Eduardo Torroja in “A Cura”; Lara Russo in “Animagemella”; Sarah Friedland in the dancefilm “Crowds” premiered in 2019 at the Ann Arbor Film Festival; Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte in the project “AGORA” and in “Iniciação”; Marianela Boán in “Muros” for Companhia CADAC; and Gonçalo Lamas in “Boeing nº 737-800 em Fá# Menor” presented at Culturgest Porto. As a creator, in 2020, she also presented “It ?s a long yesterday” in partnership with Maria R. Soares, with the co-production of Teatro Municipal do Porto and Companhia Instável. The project premiered on the Teatro Municipal do Porto online stage on March 31, 2020. In 2022 she presented “Light on Light” at TAGV within the END Festival and which also incorporates the book version of the same. In the same year creates “Simulacro” with Margarida Montenÿ with the coproduction of Teatro Municipal do Porto / Instável Centro Coreográfico and Teatro das FIguras. She has a Master’s Degree in Literature Theory and Lusophone Literature from the University of Minho, Portugal.
